Here are the thoughts of Chonburi fan, Tim Spear, as he looks back over the first leg and ahead to the rest of the season.
Q - And the low point?
Low point, obviously the drinking culture of the club, and how this was handled internally. Unfortunately, the people in the club who were heavily involved still hold a lot of sway and are still around. This culture should clearly be eradicated. It has no place in the modern game, but it caused deaths, which should be unforgivable.
Q - Apart from your own, which is the best team you've seen so far this season?
Haven't seen many away games, but Bangkok United were the best organised team to visit Chonburi Stadium.
Q – And the worst?
Lampang were very weak.
Q - What are your hopes for the rest of the season for
a) your club?
We have done well so far, apart from the cups, which means the rest of the season will be a bit flat. To be honest, I just want to see us play well. And with Dennis back, plus Alves and Channarong, we could be in for some exciting games.
b) the league in general?
I have no real interest in the league. Buriram Utd will be champions.
Q - Please sum up your season so far with song lyrics or by song title
Song? OMG! "With a little bit of this and a little bit of that" springs to mind. I never thought for one second I would recall the 'Birdie Song'!
Q – Anything else you’d like to add?
I'm looking forward to the end of the season, when we will see you back here. (Aw. Thank you -ed)
