What has happened to the 2010 FA Cup winning team?
18. Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool
The 39 year old is his second spell with the club. After leaving for Suphanburi at the start of the 2016 season, he rejoined The Sharks three years later. The former Thailand number 1 is currently behind Chanin Sae-Ear in the pecking order at Chonburi and is likely to be on the bench this Sunday.
29. Jetsadakorn Hemdaeng
Buaw started his career at Chonburi and played nearly 200 matches for The Sharks, before moving on at the end of the 2013 season. He spent the next few years bouncing from club to club - mainly in the lower leagues - and was last heard of at Uthai Thani FC.
25. Chonlatit Jantakam
The hard as nails centre back left the club he loves in 2019, after playing over 300 matches for us and being a part of all our fantastic achievements. A true loyal servant and excellent professional, who also won 45 international caps. He spent last year at Songkhla, but don't be surprised if he returns home at some point to take up a coaching role.
6. Suttinun Phukhom
The classy and composed centre back joined us at the start of the 2008 season and immediately became a fan favourite. Sadly, Em's career has been blighted by injury, but stands out as one of the greatest defenders this country has ever produced. He played for relegated Trat during the 2020/21 season and came on as a late substitute for them in the recent 5-1 FA Cup defeat at Chonburi Stadium.
3. Natthaphong Samana
Another Assumption College, SriRacha graduate, Maew returned to his spiritual home in 2007 and was a big part of our glory years. The 36 year old left back was a national team regular during his heyday and always impressed with his tough tackling and overlapping, forward runs. He spent last season with his hometown club, Chiang Mai Utd.
8. Ekaphan Inthasen
An unsung - and modest hero - who came to Chonburi at the start of 2008. Cherry was hugely popular with Sharks fans for his hard working and unfussy approach to the game. He retired a couple of years ago, after spending a his final seasons with Super Power Samut Prakan.
19. Adul Lahsoh
For my money, one of the best players we've ever had at Chonburi. And someone who should still be here. However, the 34 year old midfielder spent last season at Lamphun Warrior, where he's already a firm favourite with the fans. The tough tackling midfielder proved he still has plenty to offer by helping his new team to win the T3 North title.
15. Purithat Jarigarnon
I had high hopes for this lad when he burst into Chonburi's first team during the 2009 season. Sadly, a series of injuries and bad luck put paid to a long and successful career. After leaving us in 2015, the undoubtedly talented midfielder has moved around from club to club and is currently on the books of TPL rivals, Prachuap.
13. Therdsak Chaiman
One of the greatest Thai players to have graced the league and represent the national team. Uncle Therd was already 37 years old when he joined Chonburi in 2009, but over the next 8 seasons, until his eventual retirement, he was consistently our best player and inspiration to those around him. After eventually hanging up his boots, he had a short - largely unsuccessful - spell as The Sharks' head coach. He spent the most recent campaign in charge at Uthai Thani.
7. Arthit Sunthornphit
One of the most talented and skillful Thai players there has ever been. Bas was also a dead ball specialist and scored many of his goals from well taken free kicks. Sadly, I believe the now 34 year old didn't really fulfill his potential, but, on his day, was always a joy to watch. He is now playing for his hometown side, Khon Kaen Utd, and in line for a return to the top flight.
10. Pipob On-Mo
Chonburi - nay, Thai football - legend, Pipob On-Mo finally hung up his boots at the close of the 2018 season. The great man was rewarded with a fantastic testimonial match - which brought tears to the eyes of everyone in the ground that night - and a coaching role at the club. He is currently Sasom's right hand man and (surely) a future Sharks' head coach. We're still waiting for that statue, though!
Substitutes
5. Phanuwat Jinta
A steady and reliable squad player, who featured in pretty much every position - apart from goalkeeper - during his long stint with the club. After being constantly overlooked as first choice central midfielder - his preferred role - Dow moved on at the end of the 2012 season. He spent last year with Prachuap.
9. Jules Yves Stephane Baga
One of our most successful and popular overseas signings. Baga joined the club for our first season in the top flight and over the next couple of years, he scored goals on a regular basis - including an absolute screamer in our historic 3-1 AFC Champions League win against Melbourne Victory. After leaving the Sharks in 2008, he returned for a second, equally productive spell, two years later. He was most recently spotted playing for Eding Sport FC in his native Cameroon.
39. Supasek Kaikeaw
The Ayutthya born striker spent just one season with The Sharks, after signing from Bangkok Utd. Since then, the 34 year old has had more clubs than Tiger Woods. His most recent being Rajpracha in T3 West.
Coach
Jadet Meelarp
The most successful coach in Chonburi's history and someone who is inextricably linked to the club. The popular Sir Ded has had three spells in charge of the Sharks and delivered three major trophies. After being unceremoniously ousted fom Thai Port midway through the 20/21 season, he is enjoying a renaissance as boss at T2 side, Muangkan Utd.
