Match Report
by Russ John
In today's encounter, a rather faultering Swatcat outfit hosts a burgeoning Sharks team searching perhaps for a resurrection of past glories.

After a cautious start from the visitors, an early effort from the returning Amadou stung the palms of keeper Pisan. The Sharks continued to press forward but the hosts countered and a Nopphon drive went narrowly wide.

In the 19th minute, Jordan Murray sent a diving header into the net to give the Swatcats an early lead. The hosts then began to control the play placing the Sharks on the back fin (see what I did there?) with Morgan Ferrier a constant threat.

On the cusp of half time Tyronne del Pino sent an angled drive just wide as the hosts finished the half strongly.

The teams went in at half time with the hosts in charge at 1-0 following a slightly disappointing first half display from second in table Chonburi.  The men in blue will be hoping to up their game in the second half and put the hosts under more sustained pressure.

Two minutes into the second half, Jordan Murray headed inches wide but the visitors began to exert the long awaited pressure with Amadou finishing a move with a low drive that shaded the upright.

With the Swatcat goal now under almost constant pressure, an equaliser looked increasingly likely as one was left to wonder why the visitor's first half performance was so poor.

The secong half amazingly ended goalless despite a strong and positive response from the visitors with the hosts running out winners one goal to zero.

Well certainly a game of 2 halves. The Swatcats winning the first half with the Sharks dominating the second half but with no concrete reward.

An encouraging performance from the struggling Swatcats and a well earned three points against a top Revo League opponent.
