New! Ten Things You Didn't Know About Lamphun Warriors: 2023

Here are ten things you probably didn't know about our next opponents:

1. Midfielder Mohammed Osman is the cousin of TV presenter, producer and author, Richard Osman.

2. The club is currently banned from playing home games in Lamphun, after an "incident" during the 2021 staff Christmas party.

3. Lamphun Warriors nickname, "The White Cattles" came about by accident. They were originally known as "The White Castles" (which was a tribute to Buriram Utd and makes far more sense), but a local printer made an error when mass producing club merchandise and the moniker was adopted in order to save money on a reprint.

4. Brazilian striker, Bill, has a brother called Ben.

5. Hollywood superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McEllhenney seriously considered buying the club before eventually purchasing Wrexham. Their reasoning being that Welsh is easier to learn than Thai. And Wales is closer to Philadelphia - both geographically and culturally.

6. Lamphun is the only town in Thailand that has more 7-11s than people.

7. In spite of all their recent success, Lamphun Warriors have never won an away match.

8. Defender Mika Chunuonsee is the only Welshman who doesn't own any Max Boyce LPs. A criminal offence in his homeland. Which is why he can never return.

9. Coach Alexandre Gama played bass guitar on David Bowie's worldwide hit, 'Let's Dance'.

10. First choice keeper, Nont Muangngam, will miss the last ten matches of the season, as he will be appearing in the Thai TV version of 'Love Island'.
