Travelling Time (total journey)
Outward: 1hour 15minutes - A slight hold up at the bloody annoying roadworks as you leave Highway 7 to pick up Highway 36, but other than that, very straightforward.
Return: 1hour 10minutes - A breeze. We would have done it quicker, but stopped for a drink and a use of the facilities at one of the numerous petrol stations en route.
Total Distance Travelled
136kms
Match Ticket
B200
Programme
Sadly not. And I did do a whole lap of the ground trying to find one.
Club Shop
Yes. However, there was hardly any stock. No replica shirts, just scarves, 'training' tops and a few stickers. And no programmes! Very disappointing.
Away End
A covered area in the arc behind the goal leading to the halfway life. We had individual seats that afforded very little leg room. I chose to stand by the barrier at the top of the steps for the second half.
Staff
Very friendly. The man checking the tickets as we went in, spoke good English and was happy to chat. He also came and stood next to me for a few minutes in the second half. The cadets, who provided security, were also very helpful and (as you'd possibly expect) efficient.
Food
Loads! From a modern cafe, to a sit down restaurant to all the usual stalls, the stadium had everything. They also sell my favourite snack - the fried, coiled, flavoured potato. Lovely!
Beer
Yes. Beer was in plentiful supply all around the ground. B80 for a big bottle of Chang. However, we couldn't take it (or food) inside.
Highlight of the Day
The atmosphere in the away end. I didn't think we'd take such a big following, but we almost filled the section we were given. Not as many as in a few previous seasons, but more than enough to create a bit of noise and colour.
Overall Experience
I really enjoyed it. I love to going to Navy. It's easy to get to and the parking is well organised. The atmosphere outside the ground is also one of the best in the Thai league. Always a good vibe here.
