Young Chonburi FC player Worachit Kanitsribumphen says he is adjusting to life in England as he chases a contract at second-tier Leicester City, aka the Foxes.

The Thai teenager, nicknamed "Gym", has already started his two-week trial with the Thai-owned English club and Chonburi will give him full support to help him realise his dream of making the grade in England, says Thanasak Suraprasert, Chonburi's overseas manager.

"Gym is now training with Leicester's youth team, whose players are aged 16-18. He has the same daily grind as other Leicester players. He has a training session from 10am to midday each day.

"Initially, Gym will train with Leicester for two weeks and then their staff will make an assessment to check his development before he returns home. Should they decide to let him continue the training in Leicester, he will return to England. The English club will cover all his expenses in England," said Thanasak.

Gym revealed that he is adjusting to the new surroundings after a tough start to life in England, especially with the cold, wet weather.

"I'm starting to adjust to life here. I'm getting more accustomed to the food, weather and the language. I share a big bedroom with four new friends, who are all English. I feel no pressure from the daily training. I try to show the coaches here what I have been coached in [back home]. In the next two days, I'll have a match.

"I've heard that many fans are following my progress and are hoping I do well. I'm so grateful for that kind of support. I will give it my all in order not to let anyone down. I hope I can bring fame to the country and Chonburi FC," said Gym.
