How many boxes does today's League Cup tie tick?
Playing a team with a daft long name
Check. In Round One it was Ratchapruek Muangnont Utd now it's PTU Phatum Thani Seeker FC.
Playing a team with a silly nickname
Check. The Killer Phoenix.
Playing at a ground that is hard to find
Check. Google maps fails to recognise the Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Stadium when written in English.
Ridiculous kick off time
Check. 3:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon.
Conflicting information available
Check. Official League Cup website says 3:30pm kick off, Chonburi official site says 4:00pm.
Playing a team which doesn't have a website
Check. Their Facebook page was last updated on February 2nd, their official website on October 1st, 2013.
Lack of interest shown by Chonburi FC
Check. The official website is still advertising last Sunday's match and there is no preview.
Lack of information on our opponents
Check. Even Wikipedia only lists them as having ten registered players.
Chance of an upset
Check. Even after Sunday's win I'm feeling slightly uneasy about today. But then again, I always do.
Chance to visit a new ground
Check. One of the joys of the early rounds of this competition is that you get the opportunity to go to grounds that you'd never dream of visiting otherwise.
Chance to enjoy a match without all the restrictions we get at home
Check. I'm anticipating that it will be very laid back today. And even though the stadium is in a university campus, I expect we'll be able to take drinks into the ground.
Match not televised
Check. Away from the saturation coverage of the TPL it's nice to know that the only way you'll get to see these games live is if you actually make the effort to travel.
