THE SHARKS CAFE
23rd July, 2011
The Sharks Cafe will start trading on Monday 1st August. The coffee shop, bar and restaurant, which is co-owned by a group of Chonburi players, will be open seven days a week and serve a variety of home made food plus drinks.
During the week it is hoped that at least one member of the playing staff will be working in the cafe. There are also plans to show all Chonburi's away games at the venue plus other TPL matches (when the Sharks aren't in action) and broadcasts from the English Premier League.
The cafe is located opposite Chonburi Stadium on the junction with the dual carriageway.
THE SHARKS CAFE : OPEN FOR BUSINESS
1st August, 2011
The Sharks Cafe opened its doors for the first time this morning. There was a steady stream of customers, including club officials and fans, during the early part of the day. The patrons enjoyed a variety of food and drinks, whilst watching True Sport and dvds of Chonburi matches from the past, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The cafe is separated into four main sections. Inside, there is a small coffee shop at the front and a larger dining room at the rear. Outside there is a spacious area with tables and chairs and there is also a rooftop terrace. The decor is modern and smart and the walls are adorned with photographs of the current squad.
The food is mainly Thai but some Western dishes are available. There is a wide range of cold drinks, tea, coffee and both bottled and draught beer on offer.
On matchdays, fans will be able to reserve seats, inside or outside, for before and after the game. The cafe will also show Chonburi's away matches live on big screens, for those supporters who are unable to travel.
The Sharks Cafe is situated about 100 yards from the entrance to the Chonburi Stadium, at the junction with the Chonburi-Bang Saen dual carriageway, and is open seven days a week.
A GREAT NIGHT OUT AT THE SHARKS CAFÉ BUT SHAME ABOUT THE RESULT
by Tim Banks

Unable to travel to Phichit and unwilling to watch on Channel 69 at home with the non football loving family, the refuge was the Sharks Café, where the atmosphere was excellent and a sense of “togetherness” abounded, mixed with early hope and excitement. This unfortunately slowly gave way to frustration and eventual disappointment and the overall experience was undoubtedly spoilt by the team just not being able to put the ball in the net against TTM.
An added bonus of following the match in Phichit on TV was the live Arsenal v Liverpool game followed by the Aston Villa and Blackburn game to surely satisfy everyone’s TPL and EPL Saturday evening appetite.
The club, management and players should be congratulated on this excellent initiative that with a little fine tuning will undoubtedly become the “homing point” for those fans unable to travel away but want their dose of “live” Sharks football amongst like-minded supporters.
Will I go again? Yes, definitely. And I believe other season ticket holders will make the Sharks Café their base for all the away games when unable to travel in the coming months as undoubtedly the venue will become the “home away from home” and will continue to grow in popularity and become a fixture for Sharks fans. But again, shame about the result!
