Following the news that Suphanburi FC had redesigned their club badge to include a Latin motto - "Modestia, Peseverantia, Probitas" (Discipline, Perseverance, Honesty) - I wrote to the Chonburi management, to request that we do the same to reflect our habit of finishing as TPL runners-up - five times in seven seasons. Below are the ten Latin phrases I suggested as choices for us to adopt. Which is your favourite?
Semper Secundus - Always second
Chonburi Secundus Ceterus Nusquam - Chonburi second, the rest nowhere
Venimus Et Nos Vidimus Complevit Secundo - We came, we saw, we finished second
Sanguis Et Sudor Secundi Locus - Blood, sweat and second place
Nos Conantur Ad Esse Secundum Melius - We strive to be second best
Sed Semper Ad Secundum - Always aim to be second
Pronuba Semper Nunquam Sponsae - Always the bridesmaid, never the bride
Iterum Secundo - Second again
Secundus Secundus Secundus - Second, Second, Second
Illic Semper Anno Altero - There's always next year
