What a splendid afternoon.

I knew that it was going to be our day as soon as I heard the "Summer Holiday" soundtrack blaring out of the BEC Tero pa system when we arrived. Most unexpected but welcome nevertheless!!

In truth it wasn't the greatest advert for Thai football and we were woeful at times but our defence proved yet again why we are the most miserly in the league.

The first half was pretty even and scrappy in places. The highlight being our goal. Although we could, and should, have added a couple more. The only other notable event was the double sending off. Pipob On-mo reacted stupidly to an off the ball elbow from a BEC defender and both players were quite rightly dismissed.

The second half belonged to the home side as we fended off wave after wave of attack. I was impressed by Tero's fitness and passing game which contrasted with our uncharacteristic long ball game and being unable to keep possession.

As Tero became more desperate some of their challenges were a little rustic and how Leesaw wasn't booked for a series of crude fouls I'll never know.

So, to sum up. We were second best to a decent team today but...we won!

As for the fans. We were amazing. There were hundreds of us. And when you consider that this was a 4:00pm Wednesday fixture makes it more impressive.

A final note to the TPL: Please schedule this game for a Ssturday next season. Thank you.
