When the World Cup hype finally dies down, Witton Albion will be hosting an international tournament of their own - in front of a potential TV audience of 40 million!

Wincham Park has been chosen as the venue for the first Manchester International Football Festival, featuring under-21 teams from Manchester City, Oldham Athletic and the Thailand national team.

The event will be televised live to Thailand a part of a documentary series covering the team's overseas tour.

It will take place from July 16-20 and is being hosted by Manchester City Council, with the full support of the FA of Thailand and the Office of the National Culture Commission of the Government of Thailand.

The festival is being promoted by the Thai Trade and Cultural Organisation, which is based in Manchester, and it is hoped this will be the first of an annual event which, in the future, will attract more teams from the UK and abroad.

There will be three matches at Witton between the teams: Tuesday, July 16, Manchester City v Oldham Athletic (2pm); Thursday, July 18, Thailand v Oldham Athletic (5pm); Saturday, July 20, Thailand v Manchester City (11am).

Tickets are £6, or £3 for under-16s, and for more information ring Witton Albion on 01606 43008 or 01606 47117.
